How to make your iPod display your custom icons

I posted this originally on my vox: http://successlessness....uitar.html (it is a music blog that I am writing with four other people). I wasn't sure where to place this item, since it's not exactly tech and it's not exactly apple!

Here's a tip I picked up a while back: how to add your own icons to your local hard drive and/or ipod. These are instructions for PC, I don't have a mac (despite the mac logo).

1. Create your own *.ico file or find one on the web. There's a few free (trial) icon maker softwares out on the interweb.

2. Create a TEXT-only file called "autorun.inf" (minus quotes), put this on your iPod or anywhere that you want to represent your icon.

3. Your autorun.inf file should have these instructions:

[autorun]
ICON=nameoficon.ico

4. Refresh your view and you should now see your new icons. I have included a screen print of what my icons looks like on "my computer".

Wow, I just realize that the angel icon is for the game Heroes of Might and Magic V (I'm very close to beating this game!).
