Wired's Gadget Blog claims to have last minute details on the thin MacBook that is expected to be released tomorrow at Steve Jobs' Keynote address. While Wired's Gadget Blog has not been a traditional source of Apple rumors, we presume they have a degree of confidence in this report to print it.

Macbooks are great and the new Core 2 Duo ones are simply fantastic, but the only complaint against them is the limited availability of colors. Rogotoko thought the same and went the extra mile to customize his new Macbook with Carbon Graphix a vinyl sticker material that looks like real carbon fiber and it is quite durable. The best part is unlike paint it can be removed easily and does not void the warranty.

Owners of Apple Computer's new 13-inch MacBook notebooks, whose systems are plagued by intermittent shutdown issues, have become fed up with extended repair times and inadequate resolutions to the problem, and are now organizing a class action lawsuit against the Mac maker.

MacBook Joins the Club of Igniting Laptops

The bottom left corner of the screen managed to somehow catch on fire, in turn toasting the entire left side of his notebook. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem that this problem was caused by an overheating battery. Eric said the employees at the Apple Store were shocked and told him to contact AppleCare, which was closed at the time.

What the hell is going on with all of these laptops? It must be a sign of the times that I am now nervous when using my own laptop. Apple will surely replace his laptop, but I am still concerned about what caused...

Apple Runs Fans Nonstop To Cool MacBooks

The company deals with a rash of customer complaints about noisy and overheated notebooks. And this isn't the first heat issue for the MacBooks.

Apple on Thursday issued a firmware update for its entry-level MacBook notebooks to adjust "fan behavior." And it wasn't talking about Apple users.

The firmware update, which can be downloaded from the Cupertino, Calif. company's support site, is in response to ongoing customer complaints about overheated and/or noisy MacBooks, the newest model in the Intel-based portable line.

Macbook Pro Battery Recall (15")

Apple has initiated a worldwide battery exchange program for certain rechargeable batteries that were sold for use with 15-inch MacBook Pro computer systems from February 2006 through May 2006.

The affected batteries do not pose a safety risk. You may continue to use your current battery until a replacement arrives.
