In comments made at Apple's recent shareholder meeting, CEO Steve Jobs said that the iPhone doesn't support Flash because it runs too slowly on the device to be useful. The iPhone's lack of Flash has been one of the major complaints levied against it. He also said we won't see iPhone apps until "summer."

On the iPhone:
- It won't have Flash for the forseeable future (speed of processor issues)
- There will be lots of applications out (but not until?) this summer based on the SDK
- The SDK will bring gaming to the iPhone/iPod touch

An interesting column written by Steve Jobs to shout out his anti-DRM thoughts! DRM hasn't worked in the past and it won't work in the future. His solution: we got three choices. We can either continue on the path we're on now, license out FairPlay, or destroy DRM once and for all...

Imagine a world where every online store sells DRM-free music encoded in open licensable formats. In such a world, any player can play music purchased from any store, and any store can sell music which is playable on all players. This is clearly the best...

Federal prosecutors are reportedly looking closely at stock option administration documents that were apparently falsified by Apple execs to maximize the profitability of option grants. While Apple has said CEO Steve Jobs did not profit from the stock-option backdating, Jobs has reportedly hired his own attorney to deal with the SEC and Justice Department.

Steve Jobs took the stage in San Francisco and iTV

This is the big announcement, along with movies. iTV is a new hardware device that is connected to the home network via wifi and to the TV. It will be available starting Q1 2007 for $299. Given the large library of television shows now available on iPod, this device is a serious alternative to Microsoft Media Center. One thing that isn’t clear is whether iTunes will allow the addition of ripped DVDs as it does with music. That would make the iTV a much more useful device.

Despite recent rumors to the contrary, Apple Computer chief executive Steve Jobs remains in good health, an Apple spokesperson said this week.

Following Jobs' appearance at last week's Apple World Wide Developers Conference, several online news and blog sites expressed concerns about the Apple co-founder's health, as he appeared to have shed considerable weight since prior public appearances.

The reports also questioned why Jobs, who often relishes in the limelight of his keynote speeches, delegated a large portion of his WWDC...

Apple Computer chief executive Steve Jobs has been boasting about his company's much-rumored iPod cell phone amongst inner circles.

The remarks are uncharacteristic of Jobs, who is often regarded for his obsession with secrecy -- especially when it comes to unannounced products from his own company. But it's been said that Jobs' own excitement over the device has produced a number of zealous ramblings amongst personal acquaintances dating back to this spring.

One person familiar with the ongoings believes the Apple cofounder has...

Steve Jobs' keynote speech on Monday was the most uninspiring he's given in recent memory. It hints at the trouble Apple will be in marketing-wise if he ever steps down.

Steve Jobs usually gives his keynote speeches solo, but at Apple's annual developers conference here on Monday morning, he shared presenting duties with three of his lieutenants, leaving the stage whenever they took turns to get up and talk.

A new shareholder derivative complaint has been filed against Apple, following the company's recent announcement that it has found additional stock irregularities.
